Most Commonly Asked Questions

Question: Why do I need a program that has animated exercises when all I want to do is print handouts for patients?

  1. To save therapists time: in a classic handout, the therapist needs to read the text below the illustration, in order to mentally visualize the movement. When the doctor has thousands of exercises to choose from, reading each one of them is out of the question. Seeing the animation reduces the selection time three-fold.

  2. To provide the patient with an attractive e-mail that is received in the comfort of their home. The animation provides the patient with the same fast input that it did for you when you selected it.

Question: Why not show a video of each exercise for the therapist and/or patient to see?

Takes too much time. Mentally visualizing a movement while watching an actual video clip of this movement takes 3 to 4 times as long as that for an animation to run, and be interpreted. For example: to interpret nine video clips on a single screen would take several minutes. However, with DocuRehab, you can interpret nine animations on the screen in a matter of seconds. The key is to save you time.

Question: Why do many of the techniques within the program not have a name entered, and the words "New Technique" appear and print?

There are no standard names for hands-on techniques. By simply editing the technique, you can change or apply the name as you like or better - the way you will remember it.

The real name is the biomechanical description seen at the bottom of the page, following a rigorous protocol (The DuBarry System).

Question: Why do I need to use a computer to print exercises when I have convenient cards that I can run on my photocopier? This process works, I have been doing it for years.

There is nothing wrong with using exercise cards; but those cards are probably line drawn black and white. They do not even have the name of your clinic; you are missing out on a very inexpensive marketing toward your patients. Your patients usually like to share those handouts with their friends and family. Furthermore, you waste time with the filing and copying process.

Question: I currently use a software program to print patient handouts and this uses a ton of ink, how is your program going to help me?

You probably currenly have a background on your pictures; this background takes electronic space and requires more ink to print (close to twice the amount of ink as will be used with our program).

Every picture coming with our DocuRehab program has been optimized and had the background electronically removed in the best interest of our customers.

Question: Why do the animations appear to be reversed when played on my screen?

The order of the images is probably reversed in the program or at least out of sequence. To fix this: select edit, edit chart, right click on animation on the bottom of the screen, edit technique, and then the images tab. At this point select and drag the images to create the correct series of motion. The Tutorial / Help menu also describes this process.

Question: After I created a long protocol (chart), the first screen when opening the program became sluggish, any suggestions?

If your first screen has over 40 animations, it tends to take longer to open. We recommend less than forty animations in each chart. The charts or protocol are designed for fast selection, therefore you want ot keep them small and specific.
